The ballistic unloading bag (often called a Ballistic Unloading Tube) is a police specific item.
It is intended to aim a firearm into, with a view to making the gun safe should it accidentally discharge. The unloading bag will prevent an accidental bullet discharge penetrating floors, work surfaces and vehicle floors should a police issue or recovered firearm need to be loaded or unloaded.
The Ballistic Unloading Bag is extensively used by Police Tactical Firearms Units.
The Bag is supplied in NIJ Level IIIA ballistic penetration standard.
